This page explains how The Growth Engine uses personal information when we contact people at businesses about our marketing services.
Who we are

What we hold about you
Your name, job title, the business you work for, your work email address, your LinkedIn profile link, your town or city, and your business’s website. We also note how your business shows up in public sources, such as ChatGPT answers about clinics in your area, and the dates of our emails and any reply.
Where we got it
From your public LinkedIn profile (through LinkedIn Sales Navigator and a tool called Vayne), from Anymail Finder, which finds and checks work email addresses, and from your business’s own website.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
To contact you about marketing services that may help your business. Under UK GDPR our legal basis is legitimate interests: telling businesses about services that fit their work. We only use business contact details, we send at most three emails, and you can stop them at any time.
Your right to object
You can tell us to stop at any time. Reply “no” to any of our emails, or email info@thegrowthengine.net. We stop contacting you straight away and keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so we never contact you again.
Who else handles it
Service providers that help us find contact details and send and manage email: Salesforge (email sending), Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (our mailboxes), Anymail Finder (email finding and checks) and Vayne (LinkedIn data). Some are based outside the UK, in the US and India. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards in each provider’s data protection terms, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. If you object, we delete it straight away, except your email address on our do-not-contact list.
Your other rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to limit how we use it. Email info@thegrowthengine.net. We reply within one month.
Complaints
Please email info@thegrowthengine.net first. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
If you are in the US
Every email we send says it is a business marketing email and gives our postal address. Reply “no” and we stop straight away.
