Tesla's Roadster demo, the flip and all
Tesla showed the new Roadster live on 15 October at SpaceX's test site in McGregor, Texas. It drove up a curved ramp until it hung upside down, flipped in the air and came down soft.

Questions people ask
How does it hang upside down?
Fans under the car pull the air out, and a seal stops new air rushing back in. Tesla's engineer says it can pull up to 2 G.
How does it flip?
Electric actuators open 10 cold-gas thrusters. Fire the nozzles on one side and the car rotates.
How much does it cost?
Reserving one costs $50,000 for the Performance car or $250,000 for the Thrust version. The car's price was not announced. Production starts in 2028, Musk says.
